Was shot and severely beaten by members of the SAP and SADF at Moutse, KwaNdebele, on 17 December 1985 when a youth meeting at the Ntoane royal kraal was disrupted. The incident occurred during conflict in the area over proposed incorporation into KwaNdebele.
