An AZAPO activist who was shot dead by a named member of the SAP in Soweto, on 6 June 1983. From 1981, police had detained, harrassed and intimidated Mr Malatji to try and extract information on student political activities. He had been detained four times when he was killed at Protea police station. The perpetrator was sentenced to ten years` imprisonment.
