Was shot dead by members of the SAP in Botshabelo, near Bloemfontein, on 15 February 1990, while participating in a protest march against the incorporation of Botshabelo into QwaQwa. Police set up roadblocks and fired teargas in an attempt to stop marchers reaching the Supreme Court in Bloemfontein. Three other protesters were killed and many were injured when police opened fire on marchers.
