Description
An MK operative who was arrested on 22 October 1988 near Crossroads, Cape Town. He was beaten and tortured so severely by named and other members of the SAP and Security Branch that he required brain surgery. The torture left him with permanent mental and physical disabilities. Mr Maliti was then held for six months under section 29 before being sentenced to a five-year prison term, of which he served two years.
