A security guard who died when he was shot by APLA operatives during an armed robbery at the Universityof the Transkei in Umtata, Transkei, on 18 February 1993. The perpetrators robbed the university of R500 000, shot Mr Mankumba and injured two other people. See APLA attacks. One perpetrator was granted amnesty (AC/2000/106).
