Was abducted from home and burnt to death by named ANC supporters in Kwa-Lugetlhane, KwaNdebele, during September 1986. Mr Maphanga worked for the KwaNdebele chief and was considere a `sell-out` during violent conflict over incorporation into KwaNdebele.
