A PAC member who was arrested in November 1962 and severely beaten by police in Paarl, Cape. He was detained for six months in Paarl police station, found guilty of membership of a banned organisation, and sentenced to three years` imprisonment on Robben Island, Cape Town. Whilst in prison he was severely beaten by prison warders.
