Description
She survived an attempted killing when a booby-trapped television set exploded at her home on 11 May 1987 in Harare, Zimbabwe. The explosion killed her mother, a Zimbabwean citizen married to an exiled ANC official. The explosion was set up by a named person, allegedly recruited for this operation by members of the then SADF`s Special Forces/Military Intelligence. Her father, Mr Vusumuzi Masondo (aka `Mhlophe Chiliza`), was not at home at the time.
