An ANC supporter who was severely burnt in Duduza, Nigel, Transvaal, on 22 June 1985 when struck by a teargas cannister thrown by members of the SAP during a night vigil for one of the victims killed by booby-trapped hand grenades handed out by Vlakplaas operatives. He spent nine months in hospital and his left arm is now disabled.
