Was detained in Pietermaritzburg for four months from December 1976 and tortured by security policemen, allegedly for information about the political activities of her father, PAC leader Mr Zeph Mothopeng. Ms Masote, who was pregnant at the time, lost her baby and has suffered psychological trauma as a result of continuous police harassment of herself and her family.
