A UDF supporter and Civic activist who was arrested on charges of public violence and beaten by police in Worcester, Cape, in August 1985. He fled the country, returning in 1986 when he was again arrested on 29 September 1986 in Worcester and held under section 29. He then served five years of a 14-year prison sentence.
