Was shot and severely injured when members of the Khumalo gang attacked a stokvel she was attending in Tokoza, Transvaal, on 12 December 1992. The IFP-aligned gang was a key participant in the conflict on the East Rand. Ms Mgwadleni was disabled as a result of her injuries and died soon after testifying to the TRC. See Khumalo gang.
