Was injured in a hand grenade explosion at Lulekani, Gazankulu, on 28 March 1986. Fifteen people died and scores were injured when the grenade, thrown by SADF members, exploded in a packed sheeben on Good Friday 1986. See Gazankulu hand grenade attack.
