Description
Was targeted for killing by members of the Northern Transvaal Security Branch. Mkhatshwa was a clergyman, an official in the Southern African Catholic Bishops` Conference and patron of the UDF. An unsuccessful attempt on his life was made at the Durban airport during 1987. Two of the conspirators were granted amnesty (AC/1999/0030 and AC/1999/0032).
