Was assaulted with pick axe handles by Imbokobo vigilantes in Ekangala, KwaNdebele, in 1986 during violent conflict over the State`s attempt to impose self-rule on KwaNdebele. Mr Mnamatheli is partially paralysed as a result of the assault.
