He had his house burnt down at Enkonjeni, KwaZulu, near Empangeni, Natal, on 16 April 1992 during political conflict between IFP and ANC supporters in the area. The house was set alight when a group of people chasing another man thought he had fled into Mr Mngadi`s house.
