An ANC member and artist from Johannesburg who was shot dead on 14 June 1985 in a cross-border attack launched by the SADF Special Forces together with the Security Branch on ANC offices and houses in Gaborone, Botswana. Twelve people were killed and six were wounded in the raid and several of Mr Mnyele`s paintings were stolen. See Gaborone raid.
