Was shot dead in Sharpeville, Vereeniging, Tvl, on 15 March 1993. Sharpeville was tense due to ongoing conflict between IFP and ANC supporters and the perception that the SAP were siding with the IFP. Several ANCYL members were shot by known IFP supporters and it is alleged that Mr Mochalibane met a similar fate.
