Description
An ANC supporter who was beaten by members of the SAP in Protea, Soweto, in 1983. Mr Modikoane was asked to report to the police station on two occasions. On the second occasion he was beaten and his eye was seriously injured which resulted in hospitalisation for three months. Mr Modikoane testified that at the time many people were arrested for attending meetings in the township.
