Description
A student activist who was held by the Security Branch in Bloemfontein and Kroonstad, OFS, between April 1963 and January 1964, under the 90-day detention provision. Convicted in terms of the Suppression of Communism Act for attending two Poqo meetings, he was given a five-year sentence, all but three months of which was suspended. After his release he was continually harassed by the Security Branch, which resulted in his losing several jobs.
