Was shot dead by members of the SAP in Sthembile, Glencoe, Natal, on 21 March 1990. Thulani encountered a crowd of men stoning the hostel, in political conflict which had broken out during Sharpeville Day commemorations in the area. He was killed when police fired on the crowd.
