A former member of the KwaZulu Legislature who had her house and business premises in Nqutu, KwaZulu, near Vryheid, Natal, attacked by Inkatha supporters on several occasions during 1989, allegedly because her husband was a member of the UDF-aligned CONTRALESA. The family was forced to flee the area.
