Description Was shot and killed by members of the SAP in Orlando West, Soweto, Johannesburg, on 16 June 1976 during the Soweto uprising. During the uprising 575 people were killed and 2 380 others were injured in clashes between protesters and members of the SAP and the riot unit. Most of the protesters were schoolchildren.
