Was severely beaten and had her house in Mahlabatini, near Ulundi, KwaZulu Natal burnt down by IFP supporters on 6 January 1992. Ms Ngcobo was attacked while returning from a funeral vigil for her nephew, an active ANC member who had been killed. She was allegedly targeted because of her relationship to the slain activist.
