Was injured when he was stabbed with a bayonet by an ANC/FAWU member at his workplace at Langeberg Foods in Boksburg, Tvl, on 12 June 1992, during a period of conflict between IFP and ANC-supporting workers at the factory. One ANC member was granted amnesty (AC/1998/0080).
