A UDF supporter who was sexually assaulted and beaten by members of the SAP in 1987 in Jabulani, Soweto, Johannesburg, while awaiting trial for the killing of a policeman. He was sentenced to death but his sentence was commuted later to ten years’ imprisonment and he was released as a political prisoner in 1991.
