Was run down by a military vehicle at Esipetweni section, Tembisa, Transvaal, on 31 July 1993 during political conflict in the township. Ms Njikelana’s one leg is now shorter than the other. The soldier driving the vehicle failed to stop after the collision. The SADF denied the charges and the Attorney-General withdrew charges.
