Was severely beaten on his arrest by named Amasolomzi vigilantes, together with members of the SAP, in Robertson, Cape, on 18 June 1986. He was again severely beaten at the police station after which he was held for three months under emergency regulations at Worcester and Victor Verster prisons, Cape. See police brutality.
