suffered severe injury and trauma when she was stabbed in the hands and neck by IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers at her home in Orlando West, Soweto, Johannesburg, on 25 April 1992 during political conflict in the area. She was the sole survivor of the attack in which her sister and brother-in-law were killed.
