Was killed by IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers when her home in Orlando West, Soweto, Johannesburg, on 25 April 1992 was attacked during political conflict. She was hiding in a cupboard but was found and taken to an open field near the Meadowlands hostel where she was allegedly raped and killed. Her husband was also killed in the attack and her sister was seriously injured.
