Was killed when the bus she was travelling in was attacked on 11 September 1991 in Mapetla, Soweto, Johannesburg. The perpetrators threw hand grenades into the bus and shot at passengers during violent conflict between IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers and ANC-supporting residents.
