Was injured when she was stabbed with a sharp object by Inkatha supporters who attacked her neighbour’s home at Nhlazatshe, KwaZulu, near Pietermaritzburgon 30 August 1987. Ms Sangweni was visiting at the time of the attack. The incident took place during intensifying conflict between UDF and Inkatha supporters in the area.
