Was beaten by members of the Bophuthatswana Police on 5 January 1991 in Lekubu, Bophuthatswana, during conflict between Chief Sebogodi and Edwin Moila. Chief Moila had imposed himself as the new Lekubu chief with the support of President Mangope. Moila also supported Lekubu’s incorporation into Bophuthatswana.
