An ANC supporter who was detained in Graaff-Reinet, Cape, on 22 January 1969, and was severely beaten and tortured by named members of the SAP while in custody at Calitzdorp, Cape. He was charged with furthering the aims of a banned organization and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.
