Was shot and injured by members of the KwaNdebele Police on 31 May 1987 in Weltevreden, KwaNdebele. The police attacked a group of young men at a tavern called Ndala’s lodge. When the youth retaliated, police fired into the tavern, killing three and injuring two. The attack occurred during resistance to KwaNdebele independence.
