Was shot and injured by members of the SAP while she was collecting rent cards during a rent boycott in Khuma, Stilfontein, Tvl, on 28 February 1986. Police reportedly came to the hospital to arrest Ms Thulo, but nurses denied she was there and warned her to escape.
