Was shot dead on 13 April 1991 in Khutsong, Carletonville, Tvl, by two people allegedly linked to the SAP. Mr Tlhanyane was involved in trying to forge a peace deal between rival factions of the ANC-aligned Khutsong Youth Congress at the time.
