She died after she was stoned and thrown into a burning house by UDF supporters at Kwelerha Location, Cape, on 27 March 1986. Ms Sojola was accused of being an informer because she was related to a Kwelerha Tribal Authority member. There was conflict between UDF supporters and members of the tribal authority over forced removals.
