Was assaulted and killed by members of the SAP and AmaAfrika supporters in Khayelitsha, Uitenhage, Cape, on 13 February 1990. The shooting occurred at a meeting between the police and AmaAfrika and UDF supporters to discuss their differences. Mr Willem was hit in the head and died instantly. See AmaAfrika.
