A UDF supporter and member of the Taylors Halt Youth Congress who was detained on 8 May 1988, along with four other people including his brother, by the police in Pietermaritzburg, and was tortured in detention. In 1991, Mr Xulu’s brother was abducted, allegedly by members of the Security Police, and has never been seen again.
