Was one of six passengers shot dead when members of an ANC self-defence unit (SDU) attacked a bus at Umkomaas, near Durban, on 27 April 1992. Eight other passengers were injured. Three ANC SDU members were granted amnesty (AC/2001/088). See Umkomaas bus attack.
