An ANC member who was detained and tortured in February 1977 in Sekhukhuneland, Lebowa, and in Groblersdal, Transvaal. In November 1979 he was found guilty of high treason in Pietermaritzburg and sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment on Robben Island.
