Was severely injured when she was gang-raped, stabbed and shot, then thrown out of a window and left for dead, allegedly by IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers in Tokoza, Transvaal, on 29 July 1993. Ms Makhubela was abducted with three other girls, two of whom were killed.
