Was shot dead by named IFP supporters on 1 May 1993 at KwaDlangezwa, KwaZulu, near Empangeni, Natal, on 1 May 1993. Ms Mathaba had witnessed a petrol-bomb attack on her daughter`s house in April and was killed after she had made a statement to the police. about the incident. Her granddaughter, aged eight, was also killed in the May attack.
