An ANCYL member and a marshal who was severely kicked and beaten by named members of the SAP in Alexandra, Johannesburg, after being arrested at a night vigil in December 1986. He lost his front teeth, dislocated a shoulder blade and spent a week in hospital recovering from his injuries.
