An ANC supporter who was severely sjambokked , beaten with rifle butts and then detained for three months by alleged members of the Venda Police in Vleifontein, Louis Trichardt, Transvaal, on 16 June 1986. The police came looking for Mr Matladisa and his brothers because they were involved in opposing the incorporation of Vleifontein into Venda.
