An APLA member from Umtata, Transkei, who was shot dead by Basotho paramilitary force members at Qacha`s Nek, Lesotho, close to the Lesotho-Transkei border, in March 1985. Five other APLA members died in this incident, which occurred at a time of increased LLA activity in the area aimed at destabilising the pro-ANC government of Chief Leabua Jonathan. The Basotho security forces claimed they had mistaken the APLA unit for LLA members. APLA and the LLA were closely connected at the time.
