An ANC supporter who was shot and severely injured by two unidentified men in Nkandla, KwaZulu, near Melmoth, Natal, on 23 April 1994, while canvassing for the April 1994 elections in an IFP stronghold. Mr Mkhize is now blind as a result of his injuries.
