Was shot and killed when members of the AWB opened fire at a minibus taxi travelling between Westonaria and Randfontein, Tvl, on 27 April 1994, in an effort to disrupt the electoral process. Polling in the first democratic elections had started on the same day. A passenger was shot and injured in the attack. Two AWB members were granted amnesty (AC/1999/0342)
