Was shot dead in Clermont, near Durban, by a named Inkatha supporter and others in September 1988, allegedly because he was perceived to be sympathetic to the UDF. He and two colleagues had been injured a week earlier when the same perpetrators opened fire on them outside their place of work in Clermont.
